All our Crystal Singing Bowls are made of quartz crystal - their crystalline structure is encoded in the sound.

There are two main ways to play your Cosmic Sound Bowls®. You can stroke the bowl gently to create a shorter, yet powerful sound. Or you can sing the bowl by gently guiding your faux suede mallet around the rim or the body of the bowl to create a clearer, softer and long-lasting sound. We like to combine both techniques in our Sound Baths.

Due to the abundance of sizes and designs of our Crystal Clear Singing Bowls, which gives each bowl their unique sound, we provide an individual sound recording of each new bowl. There’s no should in the matters of the heart. YOU have to tune into the bowls to find out which bowls resonate most with what you envision for yourself. If you’re really keen on some guidance, we like to recommend the note F. The note F corresponds to our heart chakra and since this is an area that most people should pay more attention to, it’s a good place to start. One thing we can tell you from our experience: Your first bowl will likely not be your last ;) So invite less thinking and more feeling!

All our Cosmic Sound Bowls® are tuned to 440 Hz which is the standardized tuning in the music industry. Since most of our customers are established sound healers who use a variety of different healing instruments, this tuning felt most natural to us. The majority of instruments in the Western sphere are tuned in accordance with the 4th octave A (= 440 Hz). If you intend to play your crystal singing bowls in combination with other instruments in the future, we highly recommend choosing the 440 Hz tuning.

We know there is an abundance of
information out there and it can be confusing. We are here to help. So what exactly is 432 Hz tuning then?

The less common 432 Hz tuning thus means that the tuning of the 4th octave A is lowered by 8 Hz. Meaning, they sound slightly lower. However, the untrained ear will likely not be able to detect this minor difference. Some theorists have been eager to award spiritual meaning to the 432 Hz tuning but as of now there are no scientific studies supporting this hypothesis.

Both tunings are beautiful and valid and as with most things when it comes to working with Crystal Singing Bowls, you’ll have to tune in to see which variation resonates more with you personally and what you intend to use your crystal singing bowls for.

The biggest difference is the way they are made and the quality of sound resulting from it. Frosted Singing Bowls are known for their signature “frosted”, rough exterior while the surface of our Crystal Clear Singing Bowls is as smooth as glass. If you’re just starting out or need to generate sound to fill very large spaces, Frosted Singing Bowls are a good choice. They are easy to play and hence very beginner friendly. If you want to upgrade or invest in something a little more high-quality, Crystal Clear Singing Bowls are the way to go. Their sound is far more clear as well as stable and they stand out because of their remarkable sustain. The clear bowls emit two notes when being struck: the prominent note and a higher harmonic. Choosing between our no Frosted Singing Bowls and Crystal Clear Bowls hence depends on where you currently are in your Sound Healing Journey, what your intention is and which ones resonate with you most.

Perfect-pitch bowls by definition refers to a tuning that very accurately concurs with the frequency of the indicated note in their cent value with a tolerance range of +/- 10 Hz. Our bowls have a very precise perfect-pitch tuning

To make sure your new Cosmic Sound Bowls® arrive safe and sound wherever you might want to take them, we recommend adding a Cosmic Sound Bowls® travel bag to your order. These bags are especially made to fit the Crystal Singing Bowls of the respective sizes and are laced with extensive cushioning to keep the bowl safe. Beyond that, they are embroidered with our logo making you a visible member of our Cosmic Sound Healer Collective. Our Starter Sets include one travel bag to set you up for success on your sound healing journey but the travel bags can be purchased individually and complement any Cosmic Sound Bowls® order.

No! Through a process called “nesting”, multiple bowls of different sizes can be transported in a single travel bag. Make sure to cushion the individual bowls with bubble wrap or the like to keep the bowls from damage.

Yes, we got you! Our marketplace of choice, Etsy, allows payment in installments via services like PayPal and Klarna.

We recommend using a soft cloth and purified water to gently cleanse the bowl. If need be, you can add a little bit of mild soap. Beyond this, you can also cleanse your bowls energetically by treating them to a sun or moon bath or basking them in your favorite incense every once in a while to get rid of unwanted energies.

Music Theorists and light workers have assigned each note of our Western music system to one of the seven main chakras that are active in our human system. According to this, the root chakra as the “lowest” chakra corresponds to the lowest note – namely C and so on.

Cosmic Sound Bowls® are created in an elaborate manufacturing process. The quartz crystals are melted at an extremely high temperature reaching up to 4000 degrees. The manufacturing process of our Frosted and Crystal Clear Singing Bowls differs slightly.

Crystal Clear Singing Bowls are made through the renowned technique of glass blowing facilitated by a pure quartz tube being heated up to aforementioned temperature using a hydrogen flame. The bowl reaches its signature form through the process of continuous molding with pressurized air. Properties like thickness of the bowl’s crystal walls, as well as the diameter and height determine the vibrational frequency and hence the note the bowl emits.

Frosted singing bowls are created in a spinning mold and shaped by a hydrogen flame. The flame melts the sand-like particles of the quartz crystal and fuses it into their signature sturdy shape.
Their name comes from the rough surface (which adds beautiful texture to the sound) – a result of this lengthy manufacturing process.

The above explained manufacturing process which encompasses a lot of handicraft can result in minor deviations when it comes to the appearance of the bowl. The sound is not affected whatsoever and each individual bowl remains a masterpiece of its own.

This is a wonderful sound healing device with striking benefits! Depending on where you strike the pyramid, you can created a multitude of tones. The tone itself is pure and
practitioners can experience a perfect harmony of overtones. They can vibrate up to 7-10 minutes! The shape, beyond its geometrical connotations, allows this healing instrument to energize food, healing objects like crystals and anything else that you want to bring to a higher vibration. The pyramids are super light and hence an easy addition to your sound healing set-up.
